چکیده

The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) could provide ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collisions in two detectors simultaneously possibly at a bunch train frequency the linac twice baseline design value. In this paper, novel dual beam delivery system (BDS) is presented order to serve interaction regions (IR1 and IR2) including optics designs evaluation of luminosity performance with synchrotron radiation (SR) solenoid effects for both energy stages CLIC, 380 GeV 3 TeV. IR2 features larger crossing angle than current baseline. CLIC scheme was evaluated by comparing different BDS without detector field effects. It has be highlighted that impact on had not been baseline, which amounts loss about 4% corresponds same value old design. At luminosities However TeV reduced 2% from IR1 33% IR2. provides adequate proves viable candidate future linear collider projects.

Review of Linear Collider Beam-beam Interaction*

Three major effects from the interaction of e+ebeams disruption, beamstrahlung, and electron-positron pair creation are reviewed. For the disruption effects we discuss the luminosity enhancement factor, the maximum and rm$ disruption angles: and the “kink instability . All the results are obtained from computer simulations. Scaling laws for the numerical results and theoretical explanations of ...

Beam Trajectory Control of the Future Compact Linear Collider

The future Compact LInear Collider (CLIC) currently under design at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) would create high-energy particle collisions between electrons and positrons, and provide a tool for scientists to address many of the most compelling questions about the fundamental nature of matter, energy, space and time. In accelerating structure, it is well-established that...

The Electromagnetic Background Environment for the Interaction-point Beam Feedback System at the International Linear Collider

The Interaction Point (IP) feedback system is essential for maintaining the luminosity at the International Linear Collider (ILC). It is necessary to demonstrate the performance of the feedback beam position monitor (BPM) in an electron-positron pair background similar to that expected in the ILC interaction region (IR). We have simulated the ILC beam-beam interactions and used a GEANT model of...

The compact linear collider CLIC

A high luminosity 1034–1035 cm−2 s−1 electron–positron Collider (CLIC) with a nominal centre-of-mass energy of 3 TeV is being studied since a number of years at CERN within an international collaboration of laboratories and institutes to provide the HEP community with a new accelerator-based facility for the post-LHC era. In order to achieve the very high design luminosity, very low emittance b...

Observation of beam-beam deflections at the interaction point of the SLAC Linear Collider.

We report the first direct observation of the electromagnetic deflection of high --energy electron and positron beams as they pass each other with small impact _. -parameters. ‘Measurements of the deflection amplitude are found in agreement with theoretical expectations. This phenomenon, which is sensitive both to the relative position of the two beams and to their transverse sizes, has been us...
